Hello, I have a PIII, 600 mhz w/ 256RAM. Using 98SE. I have a very frustrating problem. Often, when i use start menu to get to control panel, it will not load (or bring out the flashlight to find files) and will freeze the taskbar and start menu. It appears that it began after I began having conflicts b/t syncing my palm and using Explorer 5.5. The issue that triggers appears to be my sync of Avantgo. Also, my scanner recently stopped working due to device conflict. not sure if these are related, but my gut feel it has something to do w/ registry or resource conflict or DLLs. Any ideas would help.

All else works fine until i try to sync avantgo or try to open control panel.

thanks

Hi,

Can you do this for me please...

Right click MyComputer and select Properties.

The System Properties window will popup.

Click on the Device Manager tab, and look for any yellow exclamation marks (!!!!). Note them down and post what you find here.

Also if you could please give us a full system rundown of your computer it would be very helpful. Incl. Amount of RAM, CPU model and speed, Graphics card make and model, Scanner make and model, soundcard etc.

Thanks :)
