Windows Control Panel Problems
I can't access any applets(systems programs) in my control panel like Desktop themes, Display, add new hardware, etc. I get a message "Windows cannot access the specified device path or file. You may not have the appropriate perrmissions to access the item. I think my kids may have done something I just don't know what help! This is my computer!!

Hi Freddieb,
Usually that error message, when trying to open Control Panel, means that your rundll32.exe file has become corrupted. You can follow the instructions in this MSKB article to extract a fresh copy to your C:\Windows folder If you receive an error message due to the file being a protected file, then follow the instructions in this MSKB article

I tried but It just didn't work, so I reinstalled everything and that works but I know that is the over kill and I want to learn not start over!! Thanks for trying!
