Hi there, i'm using Microsoft Frontpage 2002, Windows XP,
how do i password protect a webpage for example my index.html, i just want to give the password to a select few, so they can view the site, no user name needed, just a password....

how can this be done???

the easiest way is to check with your hosting company or your sites control panel. Most of them provides password protected directories where you can keep your pages. If your host don't offer one, go to www.bravenet.com and use their password gate.

One suggestion though, keep your index.html page public. Put the rest inside the password protected directory.

The suggestion above would be the easiest.
If you don't have the option then see if you can use .htaccess

It will result in a prompt like this
http://www.degs.co.uk/test/htaccess/password/
