...but this (http://www.gogocity.com//product_details.asp?dept_id=211&pf_id=CO02HDD0523) is the new hard drive I bought to replace my Maxtor 40gb ATA100 which will be used for a much needed upgrade of the worthless 20gb Western Digital I have in my other box. I ordered the drive on Friday while they still had it on sale for $130 :D

I hope you have a os, bios, and controller that will handle drives over 137 gigs.

I still find it amazing of the sized of harddrives. I was thinking about my first computer where I did not have an harddrive, just two floppies. I remember my first harddrive and it was a 20 meg hardcard and cost alot more than the drive mentioned in the ad. I also remember how easy it was to keep track of every file on the drive. Now after a scan, I am showing over 160,000 files - and this is just normal programs.

I wonder what it will be like in a few more years...
