Begining Photoshop

Hi can anyone recommend sites good for learning PS, have looked at CBT cafe? and a few others but often I find the tutorials hard to understand, had a great download off Kazaa but lost it in the new motherboard upgrade, can do basics with PS eg text in pics, layers etc but want to learn more eg chrome lettering / text stuff

Earl has clarified to me in a PM that his reference to downloads were to tutorials so I've reopened the thread.

Apologies for the confusion

Well, where to start? There are about 8 billion of them Here are some good ones:

http://www.phong.com/tutorials/
http://www.planetphotoshop.com/tutorials.html
http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutorials.htm

3dbuzz.com - Sign up, go to downloads, and there is a series of GREAT video tutorials that work you from beginner to an intermediate level.

I personally think the best way to learn it is to just play around. Get creative! Find out what mixing some filters does. Have fun!
