A friend just called with a question regarding what he calls Windows 2000 ME installed on his new (first) computer. He says that he can't figure out how to open attachments such as photos sent to him on e-mail. He says there is no "paper clip" to click on. He is a pure novice re computers and I know nothing about Windows ME. Is there something different about e-mail in Windows MR -- especially re opening of attachments? (P.S. - He is on AOL thru a Gateway package deal.)

Arcee, I have Windows ME here, and the attachments come through the same as ever, with a paper clip next to it!! Would this problem really be ME, or just the e-mail server that is being used??

Dave.

if hes using Outlook express tell him to double click on the box that tells him he has a attachment, and what name it is that will work the same.

Thx for replies. I will talk to him on phone & see what I can find out. I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with the AOL set-up. Because of his complete lack of computer knowledge, it's a bit difficult doing Q and A with him on the problem. I'll see what I can do based on your answers.
