Addressing

I upgraded a network computer from Win98 to Win XP. I then changed from a wired network connection to wireless. However the computer is still looking for the old network address for internet sharing. How do I get it to look at the new address or auto configuar to take the new address?

How do you have the internet sharing setup?
A router?
Proxy server?

Used a wireless router. Through the "third" tech support rep I was told that I couldn't what I wanted because of Win XP (different story under Win98). As a note I had the two slave computers hooked into the router and the Master computer with the modem hooked to the "transmitter. Apparently I could initially get the address correct but upon boot up the computer with the modem would assing address and the wireless router would ALSO assign different address. I ws advised to set the router to Access Control mode but tech support informed me (D-Link system) that wasn't possible with the unit I had bought.

Basically I went out and bought modems and went the old fashion way but thanks for the help

I don't really understand what your setup was but try to release and renew your lease.
