I have three computers hooked up in a wireless Network. One with win2k, one with ME, and one with XP. All the computers say they are on the network, however when I try to view the entire network I recieve a message saying:

Workgroup is not accesible
The list of servers for this workgroup is not available.

with workgroup being the name I choose for my workgroup (I know it's lazy but I don't care). I have file sharing enabled on all the computers. Anyone know what I have to do to enable me to access files over the network?

Quick Update: THe XP computer now shows all three computers as being part of the network, however the ME and the win2k computer show only themselves as belonging to the network.

Sounds like a browse master issue. I had the same problem, then one day it just worked. In the mean time, you can still access each computer, but it takes a little more effort. Go start - run then type \\computername and click OK. It should pop up with a window displaying all the shares. You could also use \\IPaddress. If that works fine, you could even create a shortcut to \\computername for easy access.

Have you actually shared files on any machine?
Can you PING each machine from every other machine?

It shouldn't be necessary, but you could install the NetBEUI protocol.

If you have made sure that NETBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled in TCP/IP advanced properties for all machines, I'd go with NETBEUI too. :)

Thanks for the help problem turned out to be that the ME computer simply didn't have NetBEUI protocal installed. I installed that and it works now. Thanks for everyones help (I would never had thought of that untill you guys mentioned NetBEUI)
