can MSDOS use USB port?

have a spare parts machine that boots to dos, can it use the USB port to connect an external cdrw (can borrow HP) ? if so is any software needed or anything else?

specs are:
BIOS= award
Processor= P2 mmx @ 233mhz
Drives= 2-6.5GB hard drives & 1- 1.44 floppy
65536K RAM
2- serial ports (not sure which if any are USB)

It can be done but it seems to be very complicated You can also search google using usb and dos in the search area. You will find alot of articles about this subject.

no success yet but still slapping it around. i've been trying the google links but nothing has worked yet. i'll keep at it though and let you know when i find a solution
