I sent a message to the administrators of my college network which asked if i could get messenger working through my firewall or whatever. they told me that i could, but i had to connect to a VPN. i got the vpn client and i can connect and everything, but i can't get messenger working, or any other programs like kazaa (lite) or even my norton antivirus liveupdate. do i have to set these programs up to use the VPN? i didn't know virtual private networks existed before they sent me that email so i have no knowledge of them whatsoever.
can anyone help? please....
