Help! Installed ME on clean, formatted, FAT32 2Gb partition. All went smoothly until final reboot. Then, after initial DOS-type boot-up screens, when I expected something like 'Starting Win ME' and an ME splash screen, I had a blank screen except for a flashing message 'Signal Out Of Range'. Starts OK in safe mode. Other times, gives the above message, or just completely blank screen.
AMD K6-2 500MHz (not o/clocked), 30Gb Maxtor HDD, 128mB RAM, ATI All-In-Wonder 128.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

What does your Device Manager reveal? Have you installed all other software for graphics etc. also?

Device manager shows everything to be OK.
Have started up in safe mode and navigated to the display adapter settings, advanced. The only options I have for refresh rate are 'Optimal' (default setting) and 'Adapter Default'. I changed to A.Default and restarted WinME.
The display resolution was low with 16 colours, so I attempted to change these - could not. No settings available other than the lowest.
Attempted to install latest ATI driver (which I have also used in Win98 with full functionality) to no avail - the system again refused to boot (Signal Out of Range).
Sorry about length of time to post back - I've had to re-install W98. Still like to crack this, though, if possible.

After much installing and removing of drivers for ATI card and Dell monitor, and installing/re-installing Win ME, I finally realised that the problem lay with the AGP drivers required by my mobo. Once these were updated Win ME started up as expected. Many thanks.
