Is there a way to actually do this without reloading w2k standard server. I just need the network load balancing feature.

I have never tried anything like that, but have you already looked for some way to do this at the control panel > Add/Remove new software > Windows installation? It should have some feature to add/remove windows components.
I can not remind the exact location now, since I am running mainly Linux for six months already, but I think it should have some feature like that.
