Everytime I right-click (to bring up the alt menu) on the desktop or on a file or whatever, the computer tries to access my floppy disk drive and I can't canel until I put in a disk. The same thing happens when I select a file (left-click) and hit the delete key. I can't adjust properties, cut and paste, empty my recycle bin, etc with the right click menu unless I have a disk inserted. It's a really annoying problem. If anyone has any ideas how I can fix this I would really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.

a couple of things you could try first...
clear your recent documents listing
hit Start
select Settings
select Taskbar/Start menu
hit the advanced tab
hit the Clear button beside remove records of recently accessed...
reboot
or it could be a corrupt shortcut...
open explorer Winkey+E
navigate down to c:\windows\send to
click the floppy icon
from the control menu select File, Delete
reboot and see it if fixes the problem
if all seems aok then create a new shortcut to A drive and throw it back in the Send To folder
:)

Thank you so much! The latter fix worked (deleting the A: shortcut). You rock!
Thanks again!
