Appreciate some assistance.
Keep getting a prompt when Windows starts, with the following message: "The Sound Blaster Audio PCI 64V driver cannot load MIDI waveset. MIDI playback has been disabled." The computer in question (HP Pavilion 8280) had a clean install of Windows 98SE done, and the sound card driver was installed. Sound works OK, but the prompt does not go away. No red or yellow flags in Device Manager. Any clues as to how to get rid of this prompt? Also, there is also a sound mixer icon on the Systray that was taken out of MSConfig startup tab, however, it keeps coming back every timne the PC boots. Thanks in advance for your help. |
