Formatting Partition
Ok Long story. I got a computer in december. installed windows 2000, in january it would reboot over and over, i finally got that fixed but i had to reinstall windows 2000 and while installing it froze and i had to turn it off. now when i turn the pc on it says no os. i use the boot disks for 2000 and it goes to format my partition and freezes at 3%. why wont it install and can anyone help mee

Hi Welcome to CTH
Reboot and when you see the first screen hit DELETE key (or what ever key the screen tells you to use) to get into SETUP. Once in there, change the boot sequence to CDROM first. Now put the Windows 2000 CD in and reboot. Select Repair and follow the menu, or you can reinstall. The menu will tell you.

i did and it wont boot from the cd, i copied it incase i lost the original and i did but it boots from the disks

But when i click repair it asks for the emergency repair disk which i dont have and i cant get it off bootdisk.com, but before it did that it would say there was no os on the computer. ANY HELP
