Hi :)

if you could give the exact error message/s details that'd be a great help to trying to identify what the problem is.

You also might want to look at throwing on Dr Watson for a couple of days to see if/what he can detect for you.

Post back with the error messages if you can, any information Dr Watson gives you and if poss your system specs, whether ME came preinstalled or if you upgraded, whether you're on IE 5.5 with patches etc

:)

call me dumb...since im a newbie...but what is dr. watson?.....also as far as system specs...well to the best of my knowledge...i have a pentium III 800mhz processor...two hard drive setup..a c and d drive..most of my basic programs,is installed to the c drive. which is an 8 gig....the d drive consists mostly of gaming software including all music files. that drive is a 30 gig hd. both hd are western digital, 7200rpm.i also have 192mb of ram installed.
this setup was custom built by a cousin of mine. which he has done a hundred times over...oh yeah...win me wa installed..no upgrade or patches installed.
when i get the exact error message again i will write in..thank you again!

Just when you want an error message it won't show up ;)

Dr Watson is diagnostic tool that takes a snapshot of your comp when you hit a snag. So if you have him running at the time of the error that you're experiencing then he'll kick into play and should (if he can detect it) spit out a report that details the problem. Dr Watson comes with ME to get him running hit the start button on your taskbar, go up to run, type in drwatson, hit ok. That will throw him in your system tray, if you double click on him if you want to have a peek at what he looks like. Your best bet is to throw a shortcut to him in your startup menu until you can iron out some of the problems you're having. Post back with the information when he throws it out

don't worry too much about that unless you're having problems with it and don't do anything your uncomfortable doing :)

THIS (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q261/8/15.ASP) article will help explain some of what's being said re the taskbar message.

re imgicon is Imoega icon for zip drive (from what I can recall!)and yep your msintelli is your keyboard.

It is probably the famous EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module .... error. For some strange reason, I have found out that any Antivirus program has problems with Windows ME. I have uninstalled Norton Antivirus 2001 and so far I have not have an error in 2 days. Knock on wood. You can find out the past fault errors you've had, like NT's error log, in Win ME by going to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information/Tools/Fault Log. There it will tell you the exact errors you've had since day one. I will investigate more and keep you up to date on this issue.

Regards,

CiP

Ok, good. Just hope that the update corrected the problem. If not, I suggest uninstalling Norton's Antivirus just to test it out. If all works well with no errors for a couple of days, theres your answer. Then try to install Norton's AV again and see if the problem arises again.

Peace,
