My friends computer, after re-installing Windows 98, only allows 2/16 Colours to be set in the display. In the Windows system information the Graphics Adapter is " Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA)"
Could anyone please tell me where I can obtain a driver for this card.
I would appreciate any help that is available.

Download AIDA32 here:

http://www.cybertechhelp.com/html/downloads/download.php/id/30

Run it and look under display adaptors. It should list your card. You should then be able to find the appropriate drivers for it. If you can't find them post here and we can help you find them.

Thank you

Thanks MishY but the Device Manager lists the Adapter as stated in my original question ie. Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) Is there any where else I can look.

Sorry but I quickly read your answer then replied, after reading the answer again I started to download aida32. Then discovered that aida32 would check my machine and as my friends computer is not on the internet, is there any other way to discover the make of the card.

Sorry again for my confusion.

If you go to start, run , and type hwinfo /ui , (notice the space between o and / )you can find anything that you have on your computer. It would be helpful if you had a printer. This is a very lengthly report of your system. Look for the term media, I think it will show you the info that you need. hth
