Check your sounds a sound may be enabled each time you surf or if you have a popup blocked installed, the click is the sound heard when blocking a pop up.

START|SETTINGS|CONTROL PANEL | SOUNDS | PROGRAM EVENTS

Check each action and see if there is a sound enabled for the action.

I checked it out and the sound is a Asterisk sound under windows!
I do have popup blocked, though if it were that then I would have a number posted at the bottom of my screen saying how many blocks took place! And it happened again about 10 mins or so and I have no block # stated??? :grit:
