I've never used one, but a friend has a digital camera and when he connected it to a USB port a drive G: appeared. He said he made a new file to transfer pictures into. He started viewing the pictures and moving them from the
G: drive to C: and when he figured everything was now on drive C: he deleted the duplicate pictures he saw on drive E:. Well, now he can't find the new folder he created on C:. He said he looked in the recycle bin and it's not in there so where else can he look for it?
200 pictures went bye bye? We hope we can find them!!
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks, Jim

What did he name the new folder?
Can he remember any of the photo names?
I ask these because you can use the Windows Search tool to look for the folder or images.

Or they're hidden(wich whould be strange, if he just placed them there.)
To show all files, press start, and control panel. If he's using XP, press "Switch to classical wiew, if he dosn't already have it that way, and then select "folder options". Then press the "Wiew" tab, and go down until you see "Show all hidden files and folders". Press it,and press apply, or ok.

In the manual for the camera it will probably tell him what prefix the image files have as a default. If not maybe he can remember or try to take some more pics and see what prefix the files have. It makes searching pretty simple.
My Nikon creates a folder in My Pictures that is always Img0001, Img0002, etc because I have it set to make a new folder for each download. It makes sorting/deleting easier. The images themselves always have the prefix Dscn. My previous camera (Kokak) always had a prefix DCP on images.
If a search for the image prefix doesn't find them then it's too bad but they probably didn't get transferred. Also, if the USB creates the removeable G drive what is the E drive? Is it a CD burner? Hmmmmmmmm.
