Hi everyone, I have notice that the last few times I've done disk cleanup that the reaction time is so slow I mean more than slow. Anyone have any ideas----- this has never happened before?
I'm pretty tidy at cleaning off visited web pages and temp files, and perform defrag once a week. I have a AOL program that is called Cookie Washer and it works real well its been on my system for sometime now. Any suggestion you have I would like to hear from you!!

Hi LittleMom,
If Disk Cleanup appears to be "hung up" at "Scanning: Compress old files", follow the instructions in this MSKB article to resolve the problem, or you could d/load the fix from here (line 48, right-hand column -->Disk Cleanup-Compress Old Files Freezes-Undo). Although the above fixes state that they are for WINXP, the same fix works for WIN2K.
