i have a epox mother board running a 1.4 duron processor, i wanted to upgrade to nforce 2 board with the same processor, and ddr ram instead of sdram, bought a asus x series nforce 2 board and 512mb of pc3200 ddr, removed my old board fitted the new one and just my graphics card (just wanted to test if it work b4 adding all the cards ect.), and booted the comp, everything went perfect until the windows splash screen apeared and it had 2 pips on the load meter, then i receaved a blue screen of death saying "unaccesible boot device" can anyone help me with this problem?

When replacing a motherboard it is recommended to perform a clean install of the OS.

You can perform a Repair install of the OS.
It's one of the options when you run the W2K setup.

thanks again, will tell u if it works, but i am still leaning towards getting a new drive, i am water cooled and swapping out the hold downs for the cpu block (they are 4 nuts and bolts that pass through the board and are superglued in place) is murder, and i only have one pc ;[
