I'm trying to find some security on a Win ME system that is an IBM Net Vista. The Bios, Windows, Sreen saver passwords are not sufficient fo keep someone from getting into windows or running a program in one of the floppy drives. There is 'A' drive floppy lock(keyed) on this system so that can be locked. however i can find no secure solution for the cd rom drive. Ran across a software program called "Access Denied", tried it - froze the computer, wouldn't prompt for password and had to run a recovery.
Besides unattaching a wire is there a way that is practical to make the cd-rom drive inacessable to others?
