SINCE POSTING THE MESSAGE BELOW - MY PROBLEM IS NOW SOLVED. I WOULD HAVE CANCELLED THIS MESSAGE, BUT DON'T KNOW HOW. SORRY! MODS PLEASE NOTE

One of my Word folders has created a real dilemma for me. I downloaded a special font to use in a series of word documents in a single folder. The icons have changed to Paint Shop Pro and I now find that when I open any of these documents in Word, I just get gobbledegook. When I try to open them in PSP I get the 'file not recognised message'. The TT font I downloaded is called PP22 Typewriter font. Could this have caused the problem? What can I do - I'm really in trouble if I can't solve this problem!!! Thanks

Nancy, we don't close or delete 'finished' or 'resolved' threads because someone somewhere will benefit from the thread. Searching (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/search.php?s=) the forums at CTH is a great help to those who have a problem that has already been had and likely solved already.

We encourage you to post what you did to fix your issue even if it wasn't fixed by another member of CTH.

This is embarrassing (no red faced smiley?) Notice I said the problem was solved, I didn't say I'd actually solved it!
I hate to admit to the world why I had the problem, but still I'll 'bite the bullet' and admit that I was looking in the wrong folder!!! (Please notice the reason I gave for the edit.)

nothing to be embarrassed about. It is one of the most common mistakes. Everybodys done it at least once.
