Outlook Express FREEZING

When opening OE It dials up and begins to recieve mail then completely freezes.Whats going on. It won't let me exit or anything. So needless to say I am unable to get mail but have had no problems surfing. Thanks for any help.

are you able to send mail? is this a new problem? If so did you install any new software recently, like antivirus software? What verson of Outlook Express? Have you contacted the isp or mail host to make sure the problem is not on their end?

I wasn't to send mail or anything.Have not installed anything new just downloaded the mozilla firefox browser. Emachines talked me through
and now it works. I'm not sure what I did, Safe -mode and this and that...I'm glad my mail is working BUT firefox doesn't anymore. I can live without it. Thanks.
