Malicious E-mails

I was sent a malicious e-mail on 29/02/04 with the my doom virus attached to it, luckily my anti-vrus programme picked up on it, and deleted the said e-mail.
Would any information, relating to that e-mail still be on my hard drive?
And if so. Would it be possible, to find out who sent me the e-mail in the first place.

Don't even try to figure out who sent it. It will be a waste of time because of spoofing.

Most likely your antivirus program took care of it for you, however, if you are concern - download, install in own folder, run and post the log from hijackthis (http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10227352.html?tag=lst-0-1) and someone will look at it and make sure there are no more problems there.
