Crazy question!!!

Hi Everyone!
I kind of have a crazy question, but I am wondering if any one has a eView 15L LCD Monitor model 568?? they were made by Emachine? I need to get a picture of what the power adapter looks like, cuz my friend mis-placed his and the one he claims it is, doesnt work. And well I wanted to know if anyone would have this power adapter and be able to send me a picture of it?
If you have any questions just let me know otherwise thanks for the help!

Yeah, google's likely to have hundreds if not thousands of results, as goes with google image search.

I think you just need to know the voltage and type (DC or AC) of the power adapter.

Yep I tried googling it a few different ways and not much came up on the monitor?

I also tried a different AC adapter(with the same volts/amps as on the monitor) and it seems to only give power to the brick and not up to the monitor????

Any other ideas????

What do you mean by power adaptor?

Alot of monitors (in the UK anyway) use a 3 hole adaptor, usually referred to as a Kettle Plug.

This lead either plugs into a wall socket or a socket on the PC PSU.

Does your friend require an external brick power supply?
Ask what socket is on the back of the Monitor.

If it's any use the eView Monitors are AC 110~240V 60/50Hz

It take an AC adapter just like a laptop does, where it has a brick, the only difference is the one end had the AC plug that goes into the Monitor and the other end is just a standard(in the US not sure other places) computer cord, like what would plug into your PC (and most monitors)...

Tried Emachine themselves and they were no help at all! First off the email didnt say anything except to call them so I called them and they told me they could send me one for it but they would charge me $75 if one wasnt returned to them--well if the one my buddy has isnt the right one I/he would be out $75 for just a power adapter, and well I think I would just tell him to buy a new monitor for that price!!!
I have also tried to email the actual manufacture and they havent responded. They are Proview is what I found out from PC Factory outlet (Which is the Company that Emachine sent me to--to see if they could get me one for cheaper).
I know I should just advice him to buy a new monitor, but it is just the thought that it should work and I just think he has the wrong adapter!

DMartin, take a look at the first item on this page. I think it's what you're after.

I once had to RMA a modem from eMachines. It was in a new PC that belonged to an old lady, so I called for her and asked that it be sent to my place. They sent it alright, with the caveat that if I didn't return the fried modem (probably $12.US brand new) it'd cost me $75.00!!!

Yep that looks like the right one. It is made by a different company though. The one I have is made by Li Shin International---But I finally got a reponse from Proview and they claimed it was the correct one. So I this power cord in a pair speakers and it seemed to turn them on, so I called Emachine again and they are going to send me a new monitor--I did still have to do the credit card thing that they hold $98 on it and if the monitor isnt returned in 30 days they charge you.... but hopefully the monitor is what is the matter & this is fix all my problems

thanks to all of you that helped me out with this! I appreciate it!
