Router Issue?
Just got cable and installed a router. Haven't used my computer in a while as all I've had at home was dial-up for my computer, and I can't go back.
Anyways, I thought I'd kick back and play one of my favorite multiplayer games online, but it doesn't seem to want to work. Game is installed fine. The problem occurs once I have selected the online game I'd like to join. The screen then jumps back to the game, like it's supposed to, but it never seems to make the connection to the game. I have experienced this problem when I tried to play another multiplayer game, but as it was the first time I tried to play that one I was/am unsure if it wasn't something else. Now I'm thinking that the router may be causing problems for me to directly connect to this type of gaming environment. Any help/incite is greatly aprpeciated. :frown: |

You can test that theory by plugging the PC directly into the Modem.
First guess would be that you need to use Port Forwarding. You will have to look at your Router instructions on how to get to the Router Config. You will have to look at the Game Instuctions on what Ports it uses to play online.
