I'm having a problem with my Interner Explorer. It keeps on popping up a nasty web site. Everytime I change my home page on Inernet Options, it works...until I restart my computer. The page comes back up. I want to get rid of this and cannot figure out how. SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!

To be safe, run a full anti-virus and anti-trojan scan. Then go to:
Start>
Run>
Type in msconfig and hit OK.
On the next window that pops up hit the start-up tab and post what you have a checkmark next to in there. My initial guess is that there is a file with an .hta extension there that is causing the page to change on each boot.
Post the list and we can find the one causing the trouble.

Also, go to start/settings/control panel/internet options/programs and click reset web settings. This should change it back, but not sure. I know it works if your default search engine gets changed. Then after doing this, if it doesn't ask what page you want for your home page, go to the general tab at internet options and click on home page address and change it to whatever you want it to be. Maybe this will work, but it is in your startup folder somewhere, to keep changing it each time you restart windows. Maybe the reset web settings will fix it. Hope this helps.
