VIRUS in digital cam card ??

HELP !! I have not experienced anything like this. I got a C 700 Olympus camera off ebay(refurb) with an extra 64 MB card. I have 2 cameras. C 700 and D360L. Both Olympus. Before trying the 64MB card they were working fine. When I put the card in the C700 it said "CARD ERROR" and shortly it ceased to work.I tried the card in my D360L and it said ! NO CARD, and shortly it became unoperationable. I have a card reader that I inserted the card in and got the response "Windows could not format the disk. Either the selected capicity is not valid for this disk, or the disk is damaged and may need to be replaced". The selected capacity is NOT selectable by user. I tried. I also tried other cards of diffenent capacity in cam's and they would not work. They did before !! The other cards are read correctly and cap displayed correctly by computer.
My question is, Is it possible for someone to put a virus on the card that will create havoc with cameras. It is Smart Media card.
Thanks for any help. BTW, the C700 extended the lens and then like power off, nothing else. Yes new batteries.ZILCH!!!

Never heard of it, but I'll check around. I have an Olympus D-380 and have never had the problems you describe, using several different media cards both in the camera and in my card-reader.
Both cameras are hosed now?

Yep, Aint that a kick where it really hurts. At the moment I took batteries and cards out of both and will wait overnight in hopes it may be like bios in a computer and reset to factory settings. I post back in the Am what happens.
Thanks

It is now 8:30 AM Monday in Florida. I replaced the batteries and card in each cam and find NO CHANGE. Both cam's ZILCH !!!! DAMMIT
If no one has objections I will post the ebay sellers name here so others wont get hurt as I. This guy has a VERY BAD rep for slow or very late shipping and lame excuses for doing so.
Does anyone know of a website other than www.Complaints.com/ and ebay feedback where you can post your dissatisfaction with a bad buy or discurtious service ?
Thanks.

ATTN, Mich, If you object to this I will remove it. Thank you.
