Hi, welcome to cybertech :)
I spent some time trying to track down this particular error and had no luck. There are many cases where explorer is involved, but I saw none where "boltsplash" is involved. In fact a search for "boltsplash" turned up no hits. Perhaps some more information will help here. What is your computer? What is the printer you are trying to install? Anything else causing you trouble at this time or just this error?

First thing to try is shutting down all the other programs running.
Hit the ctrl+alt+delete keys at the same time. You should get a list of running programs. Close (end task) on all of them EXCEPT Explorer and Systray. You will have to do this one at a time. Then try to install the printer software again.

you could try to download the lastest drivers for that printer, heres a link to their site.

This is the only thing I can find that comes close to your problem. It is a copy and paste...
To work around this problem, disable Plug-In for Windows.
To do so, remove Plugin.exe from the Startup folder or from the "load=" line in the Win.ini file in the Windows folder, and then restart your computer.
To resolve this problem, contact the software's manufacturer to inquire about obtaining an updated version of the program that is compatible with Windows.
To do the above do this.... Go to Start/Run/ type sysedit
You will get a bunch of different boxes. Find the Win.ini file. See if there is a listing for Plugin in the Load= line.... If it is there. Copy and paste that line into a folder like in My Documents. Just for future refernece if needed.... Then Delete it out of the Win.ini file.... Reboot and then Try to install your Printer....
