Would someone kindly tell me where I may find "marscore.dll"
I cannot access sysifo, I get the message that this dll is not found. I checked the WinMe cab files but I cannot open them to check inside. Which file will allow access to these cab files? (I realize that this is a double question, please allow)
Thank you.

Check in
C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\BINARIES
If it is there, it may be corrupted.
You can use MSCONFIG to extract a new version.
Click Start>Run>
type MSCONFIG then press return
Click the Extract File... button.
Follow the prompts to Extract/Restore the file.

OK....for some of us it is not as simple at it sounds. I checked in C:\windows\PChealth\helpctr\binaries and found the marscore.dll file. So I guess its corrupt. I can get to msconfig. I can click the extract file. After that its a little fuzzy. Next I see a screen that says "Specify the system file you would like to restore." I click browse and locate the file c:\windows\INF\pchealth.inf. And then click the open button. Then I click the START button from the pervious screen. Then I am asked to "specify the location that contains the file you want to extract and the destination for the file." It wants to know where to restore the file from. I have a browse option to find the correct file, but I am not sure what file and where to look for it.

use C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\INSTALL as the source
ok....here is what I get. "The file was not found. Verify you have selected the correct 'restore from' location and try again."
In windows explorer under c:\windows\options\install I found a PCHSetup.exe file. I am under the assumption that the needed .DLL file will be copied to the Win.ini file from the source file (which should be the file c:\windows\options\install, right?). Can this dll be copies from anywhere else on the computer (may be a stupid question)?
What now :)

the install folder is where windows stores the cab files.
If it's not working then try directing it to the Windows CD.
