Here is my problem: for what ever reason my default homepage for IE is constantly being reset to "about:blank" I try and change it to what I want but everytime that I apply the setting it resets to about:blank. I'm not sure what to do.

download, install in own folder, run and post the log from hijackthis (http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10227352.html?tag=lst-0-1) and someone will look at it

[COLOR=Blue][FONT=Comic Sans MS][SIZE=3]Hi, I too have a problem with my home page. No matter what I do & how hard I try, it keeps reverting to searchby.net. :upset: I really don't want it as my home page but I can't get rid of it. :( Can someone please help. Thanks.

Jenjen, Follow renegade600 instructions above and post in a new thread started by you. Might be better off to post it over in the cyber safety forum, sounds like a spyware/malware issue

Thanks, will do but I can't remember how to post a thread as it's such a long time since I've been here, (only recently got up & running again) & I can't find anywhere on the site that tells me how.

Hi Don
Thanks for the advice, I've just given it another go & have finally sussed it, not guaranteeing I'll remember for next time though! My new thread has now been posted along with the hijackthis log. Thanks for the help.
