When using the CD burner programs I have noted that in CD properties I have the choice of Mode 1 (CD-ROM) or Mode 2 (CD-ROM XA) Is one choice better that the other or should I always have it set to the default of ???? .
Also in the file system area there is also a choice of formats to use Joliet or Romeo.
Again is one better that the other ?????
Thank you for the advice..

hi eriebch

mode 1 can be read by most cd-roms however some of the older cd-roms can't read mode 1.
if you plan on using these disks on an older system use mode 2.

as far as joliet (never heard of romeo (lol))
that is your support for long file names. again, some older systems can't handle it but most can. if you disable it you may have some trouble burning files without renaming them.

Thank you for the prompt reply.
I only wish the program had stated it so simply.
Thanks again.
