setup.exe problem

Hi all,
Got a problem with installing return to castle wolfenstien on my second machine.

When I click on the setup icon I get the following message.

E:\setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application

I know the CD is fine as it has been installed on my first machine under WinXP and the second machine is within specs for the game.

The machine specs for the bad install are

clean install of WinME
celeron 466@525
256 pc133 ram
32mb Gforce2 200mx (new)
20gb maxtor
Abit BX133 raid mobo (latest bios)
SB pci128 sound card
Sony 52x cdrom (new)
3com ethernet card

There are no conflicts in device manager and other games using the setup.exe program work fine.

Any idea's pls

Are you able to copy the CD to the hard drive and then install it from the hard drive?

It turned out that the CD was a freak of nature and my machine is as much a freak for letting it work. Another Cd has just sorted the problem, thanx for the idea anyways.
