firewire installation

G'day,
I have windowsme. I recently attained a new "Swann video works" firewire dv editing starter kit and am well above the system requirements to use it. However, having physically placed the card in the correct slots, restarting windows, gone through adding new hardware, windows is not even recognizing the card is there.
I couldn't find a driver over the net, and couldn't find much info pertaining to my problem. If anyone out there could help/ offer suggestions, it would be much appreciated. cheers,

All Swan's drivers are on ftp.

Did your starter kit not come with a drivers disk? Just wondering. :)
