recently installed a cd-r on my computer on the same ribbon (secondary) as my cd-rom and it worked fine. now i'm trying to put the cd-r on the primary ribbon with my hard drive so i can burn from cd-rom directly to cd-r. when trying to boot up after putting it on the same ribbon the computer will not detect anything on the primary ribbon and asks to insert windows start-up disc. i put the hard drive on the last connection on the ribbon and the cd-r ( as slave) on the middle connection. can you tell me what i need to do to make this work?. thank you
