did a low level format,reinstalled win 98se,now my modem does not respond.modem is working,tried it on another hard drive.i think a message some how came up about modem.cpl missing.i tried finding it in cmos but it says it cannot find file.what to do?thank you.

You should have a disk that came with the modem. You will have to reinstall the modem drivers. :wave:

misterbadnback,i have installed and uninstalled the modem with the modem disk at least 5 times,at your word i did it again and what do you know it now works.your word must have great power.i thank you so much,jay
