msasn1.dll help

i need help coz whenever i boot up my computer or log into msn messenger it says im missing the file "msasn1.dll" in my "C:\Windows\system32" directory, if any1 has any solutions or advice to this problem i would like to know them, thx in advance

That file should be in the win98_63.cab file of your win98se CD.

I have the same problem but I get the message " A required dll file, msasn1.dll, is not found." I am running Win 98 and the Win98 disk does not contain the file in the win98_63.cab file. Is my disk different than win98se? Should I be looking somewhere else for the file? Any suggestions would appreciated. THanks
