Unhappy Outlook Recognition

I've been having problems with Outlook for quite a while. Timing out, crashing, not being able to use Plaxo, etc.

I noticed when I installed Plaxo, Plaxo was not finding my email, username, password in Outlook. It was find very old email accounts.

This happened again today when I installed a Spam program called MailWasher.

My feeling now is that my computer is not recognizing my Outlook program and my current e-mail address, which I have been using for years, but in Outlook Express, not Outlook.

It is also still finding very old email addresses that I deleted from all programs.

This is strange....finding deleted email address, but not my current.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Jill

I would suggest that you remove Plaxo, judging what some of the respected net media think of it

This article is one of hundreds slating it

Outlook does cache old email addresses.
If you want to delete them permenantly then look for .NK2 files and delete them (or back them up).

What I think degsy is trying to say is do a search for *.nk2 files in Search for files and folders, they are usually hidden so make sure that you check the look for in hidden option

Once you have found them, delete them
