ok i have an old pc (p2 300, 32mbsdram, 4mb sgram vid mem)
it used to run win'95 but now has win'me
problem is under win'95 it would detect the s-video and allow me to use dual monitors (1 being my tv, the other my primary monitor)
but under winme i no longer have that function.
is this a software problem or are the settings "hidden" under winme???????????
im stuck :(

I see a couple of probs.
1) 32Mb of RAM isn't going to work well with WinME.
2) Did you install the latest driver updates for the motherboard?

whoa the d/l of updates was such a mission. i d/l a couple of driver programs but most wouldnt work (and they were from manufactures sites) and the one that did turned out to be (at least to my way of thinking) the wrong version, as it made my online games crash before i could complete 1 map, my modem (xdsl) connection fail, and my video card is another story.
formatted my hd, reinstalled os and now its sweet. he he he but still no joy with the s-video. Im gonna forget about it for awhile. ty for the help but :)
