Hi and welcome to Cyber Tech Help http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

Which Win2k version are you using ? Pro, Server etc.

Does this beeping noise occur when you start your pc or during windows use ?

Is there anything that specifically triggers it - for example a program ?

Thanks,

MiShY

Is it a continuous beep or is it different ones?

Have you installed any memory lately? if so swap the memory about into different slots.

Look at your motherboard manual and it should describe the beeps, and tell you what they are for.

The symptom you describe may be a warning from your motherboard that it is monitoring various parameters such as CPU temperature and the values are getting out of range. Check to make sure that your cooling fans are operational. This could be a prelude to a serious hardware failure.
