I am the administrator at my work with no network knowledge other than trial and many errors. My recent was repairing our NT server and afterwards lost it as the PDC. Now, when people try to logon, they get a message which states that the primary DC for the domain can't be found. They will be logged on with cached profiles. Waht steps must I do to get the system back to normal. I am getting migraines from this one. I tried to rename the PDC and then remove the original from the server manager. Then I would log off and back on and re-install the original name again. Do I have to configure the two workstations? Do I need to buy dynamite? I would prefer the latter. Luckily, I'll be attending MCSE classes in February with the Learning Tree in Virginia, but all help is appreciated.
