I lost my bios

I formatted my hard drive to upgrade to XP, I didn't know it was partitioned with the bios, how do I recover from this mess?

Sys- HP pavilion 6830
OS- none at the moment

I also put XP on the hard drive via another computer, it works fine there, but not on the HP.

That's about it, if I'm leaving any vital info out email me and let me know.

What type of xp cd do you have, home or professional, full version or upgrade? What was the problem that caused you to put xp on a harddrive on another computer? Was it installed or was the cd copied?
