My computer using Windows 2000 Professional. I would like to use exchange client. I did not have exchange client 2000. I only have exchange client 95 and exchange client NT. Which version is suitable to use? There are 3 kinds of Microsoft Exchange Client softwaare. First is "Microsoft Exchange Client for Windows 95", second "Microsoft Exchange Client for Windows NT" and third "Microsoft Exchange Client for Dos". I did not know there are "Microsoft Exchange Client for Windows 2000" is out yet. Currently, my server is "Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server" and my exchange is "Microsoft Exchange 5.5 Server". Now, my question is should I use "MS Exchange Client for Windows 95" or "MS Exchange Client for Windows NT"? There are only one reason why I use "MS Exchange Client" rather than "Microsoft Outlook". There are public folders which can display in "MS Exchange Client" but cannot display in "MS Outlook".

Hi laisf, and welcome to Cyber Tech Help.

The exchange client for Win NT will work just fine. I’m using it on my office PC running Win2k with out a problem. But I don’t understand your comments about Outlook. I’m also using Outlook 2000 as my e-mail client using the Exchange Services and I don’t have a problem viewing any folders that I have the permissions to.
