Here's the deal. Last week I had a Video Card Driver problem. I eventually re-downloaded the driver and was able to switch out of VGA Mode. It seems also whatever messed up my video messed up my sound. I have no idea where to start our how to find anything about my sound. Program>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control...Nothing happens. It won't open. Used to be in my Taskbar at Start Up...Doesn't do it anymore...any suggestions are appreciated

First lets try a couple of things. First download Spybot-search and destroy. After installing it check for updates and install them. After doing that run spybot. Then click to fix the problems. Second download and install ad-aware then check for updates and install them. Then run ad-aware then when it is done click "next" and then "next" again. This is just to make sure your problem isn't something other than a hardware problem. You can always download hijackthis and post the results back here for someone to check.

Need info about your soundcard? Download [url=http://www.belarc.com]Belarc Advisor[url] and run it. It will give a complete profile of your computer.

You could also go look under Device Manager. Check your soundcard there and see if the driver has been loaded. It might not be loading correctly at Startup causing it to not function. You might just have to re-load the driver to put it in the registry key again.
