I cannot get into the icons in my control panel and it says rundll32 is missing or damaged. I tried extracting the file but it did not work to reinstall it although I might have done something wrong. The only cds I have is ME system restore and I don't if I need to do that. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks.

Hi esunadu,
Try d/loading the rundll32.exe file from here (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/winfiles.html#rundll32). Ensure that you click on the "Download" link beside Windows ME. It is a zipped file, so you'll need to extract the rundll32.exe file from within the zipped file to the C:\Windows folder.

I went to the website you listed and I extracted the rundll32 to the windows folder. What do I do next because the control panel still says the rundll32 is either damaged or missing. I tired opening the rundll32 in my win folder but it doesn't open. Any suggestions? Thank you. ~Kim

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, esunadu, but I was sleeping (working nightshift so I sleep for most of the day). I'm glad that you got it to work for you! :D
