I've been having this come up all the time recently. It is completely destroying the internet for me. It only happens when I log onto the internet I think. I've tried all sorts of virus scans and a each time a view can't be removed. Could this be a cause?

I used msconfig in safe mode and pressed the button "Cleanup" in the startup tab. I had to do it in safe mode, because in normal mode, it comes up with msconfig has caused an error and will now close reason <unknown>.

So here's the log file:

Hi Willsen and welcome to CTH.

Could you download HiJackThis from here http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html Create a folder on the C: drive called C:\HJT.

You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it hjt.

Unzip HijackThis into this folder. Launch Hijack This, then press Scan, and press Save Log

This will generate a text file that will list all running processes, all applications that are loaded automatically when you start Windows, and more.

Most things are harmless and needed so don't make any changes.

post a log here please.

Probably best to post the log over in the cyber saftey forum

Don, I have different error msgs that keep popping up; 1 " Lexplore has caused an error in <unknown> file (area ?)Lexplore will now close, 2 same as before only in ''user.exe " , 3 same only it's Kernel 32.DLL , and another one in spool32 (?), the script 32 is 800A0408 code. I've run defrag, disk clean-up, anti virus, and spyware, so PLEASE tell me in 1'st grade english (I'm not dot com litterate  ) what is going on and how do I stop it? It closes everything down when I x them out. Please tell me it's something simple ad easy to fix !
God bless,
Wanda R.

Wanda if you could download HJT as outlined above, we could take a look at the log and see if there is something there or not,
I m not saying by doing this it will fix it but it's a good start.
