front page news

Has every one seen the front page of cyber tech help,If not please look we now have a new rule about posting pictures.

so in the future if you post a picture larger then 25KBs one us moderators here will edit it and then link your pictures so people can still view them

The reason is that instead of hogging server space (because the images are linked to the boards not saved on the server) what it does is pushes my bandwidth through the roof !!!! plus it also means that pages will load fully 100% everytime and quicker.

So lets keep those picture under 25 KBs

Also if you post multiple pictures in the same post and it exceeds 25KBs one or the other will be linked

thanks everyone

the bouncer

tram that means me and kimmy will have to edit your post with that many pictures, so please fix the above pictures if needed fixing
if you look at the wording of the bouncer post what do you see.
I guess I should of put that in a quote from mishy. but I think every one gets the meaning lets just say that out of the last forty post only one had to be edited as far as picture size now multi pictures in the same post now that a whole new ball park
Now lets not start a new trend, me and kimmy don't have to do much around here you guys make this job really easy, which lets me make up all my topics.
so to all including dale LOL thanks for making this a good position for me and kimmy
I know I look forward to coming here every day
thanks
ironside
Im editting this post because i jumped the gun on tram and im sorry about doing that in the future i will read the other post more closely before i shoot off my mouth
again sorry for my mistake dale
chris

Hey,

Yep 25Kb is a lot. The reasons for suggesting such a rule was that if images are kept below that level then pages will always open 100% fully and a lot quicker for us modem users.

If in the case of a computing problem when an image in excess of 25Kb is needed then special exception may be granted for the sake of that persons problem and all our efforts to help them.

Tram, don't know what ya did mate but I've had a guess at what ya posted and here's a belated lol lmao

hehehe

...and just to compound on what the Bouncer said there have been only between 5-10 images throughout the 2 month history of this site which have needed to be editted and linked to, and they were very old posts

Take it easy y'all,

MiShY

Question (rasing up hand). I use an animated signature. If I make several posts in one thread will that make a problem? I'm just learning the picture stuff. Self taught, can ya tell?
