I got a question on a test during a job interview and still confused by it and hope someone can shed some light on it for me. The question was:

You are the administrator and you receive an error when trying to launch User Manager in Windows NT. What is causing this?

a: The BDC is down
b: The PDC is down
c: The Administrators account is locked out

Any idea's. I can think of 20 reasons why this would happen, but they aren't any of these. I also don't like this question cause it doesn't give you much detail at all, UGH!!

I completely agree!!! I stared at that darn question for like 10 minutes and nothing made sense. I almost want to call them up and ask them the answer to that question and the explanation on that one! If I didn't want this job so bad, I would definitely contact them.

Damhna, I have a ? for you. Hope this can stay on the same thread :) IF the PDC and BDCs go down while I am logged into the network, will that kick me off ? Will it prevent me from accessing any more shares on the network or does my login ACL token open the door indefinitely till I log out again? What ramifications does a user face when the DCs all go down after the user is already logged in?
