Boot device order

I am goin to try and format my harddrive and reinstall win 2k pro.
How do I change the boot device order?
Please note in answering, that I can not open my control panel, any folder, or internet explorer. I can access other programs (netscape, word, excel, etc...) but anything that looks like explorer will not open.

How do I change the boot device order?

Power down and then turn the PC back on. You should see a message that says something like F2 for setup. It's usually F1, F2, DEL, or F12 to get into setup. Once you are in your CMOS setup you should find the section to change the order easily. It's different depending on your MB/BIOS/CMOS settings, but should be fairly easy to do.
